The emergence of the ultra-liberal political faction in India has sparked intense debate and concern within the country's political landscape. This rise has left the Indian state in a deeply concerning predicament. This faction, characterized by its staunch advocacy for denying the majority a voice, and maximal government intervention, has drawn attention for its potential consequences on India's social fabric.
While it purports to champion minority freedoms, there is a growing chorus of criticism and condemnation regarding its ideology and policy proposals. Today, this faction has turned the concept of liberalism into an insult. The concept of a ‘liberal’ has been twisted by individuals of this faction to justify the act of silencing the majority. This article aims to uncover the significant concerns and objections raised against the ultra-liberal political faction in India and show that such actions have been politically motivated.
The issue of Khalistan has been created through the spread of fake propaganda and narratives that seek to continuously distort the issues of some Sikh radicals as the issues of a community. These actors employ disinformation and misleading rhetoric to advance their cause, misleading individuals and exacerbating tensions. Leading their campaigns under the shield of the Western bloc, they aim to destroy the civilizational growth that India has had in its time as a nation. Originating through support provided by the Pakistani intelligence deep-state, the movement has shifted from India to Canada majorly. Emigrating under the premise of seeking refuge from a “hostile government”, the movement has maintained its reception of a heavy contribution from Pakistan.
The large influx of somewhere around 6537 persecuted Khalistani “refugees” in the last 20 years, has had a large impact on organized crime in Canada. Often fleeing after committing crime, these “refugees” emigrate and take up blue-collar jobs through the country’s Gurudwaras, which are in turn, being controlled by terrorist groups like the Sikhs For Justice and Khalistan Tiger Force. As such, there has been a notable nexus between the trucking industry and the Khalistani organized crime groups, given the large number of Khalistan sponsored truckers in the industry. Trucks can be used to transport large quantities of drugs, taking advantage of the vast road networks of Canada.
The actions taken by Muhammad Zubair, AltNews CEO, show exactly the tactics used by the leftist forces. Using cherry-picking as their data collection, they dilute and present partisan arguments to promote their agenda. Along with this, the use of information source-loops to provide a ‘straw-man’ argument, highlights the exact strategy of the ultra-liberal left faction. This same ultra-liberal left faction of India has remained in direct contact with the extremist factions of nations which act directly in contradiction to the national interest of India. Individuals like Rahul Gandhi, a symbol of the left faction in Indian politics, publicly announced his views on policies which were seemingly against the national interest; himself being a proponent of minoritarian politics in India.
On that same note of extremist groups, Jihad has been given a special place in the narrative of the liberals. The kind of unwavering support that an extremist outfit like Hamas received in the wake of the 7 October attacks in southern Israel shows just how far of a penetration Islamism has in the leftist ideology. The concept of reverse racism has traction in not just the Indian discourse but also worldwide. The socially supported murder of Kanhaiya Lal Teli in Udaipur by two Muslim men shows how anti-majoritarian the discourse is in Indian politics. The reason behind his murder, as the two accused openly admitted, was that he simply made a post on social media in support of Nupur Sharma, who was quoting a phrase from the Sahih al-Bukhari.
Under the same idea of an ultra-left anti-India rhetoric, historians such as Romila Thapar also exist. They suggest a false narrative of Indian history, trying to down-trod the native civilizations in an effort to destroy the self-esteem of a historic civilization and religion. In an effort to discredit the indigenous civilization, and to promote invading civilizations and their thought processes, such individuals often end up destroying the quality of education that students receive in their school. Impacting school education at a very young age through text-books which are prescribed under the national curriculum, this has been at the heart of the liberal left faction's attempt to keep the mass public unaware of their own history.
The institutional capture conducted by the liberal-left faction has had a large impact on the national discourse as well. As a result, educational institutions, especially universities like the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University end up leading protests on national matters, many of whom are protesting laws which will have zero impact on the lives of them as students or a large majority of the residents in India. Such actions, often classed as “Wokism” and “Woke agenda” have been a largely liberal-left movement in nature. Such protests have often been anti-nation and anti-majoritarian in nature, attempting to stoke communal rioting on a national scale. Such failed attempts at destroying the national interest of India have been commonplace since the 2000s and the internet has been a large magnifier for such anti-national movements.
Under this whole attempt to play minoritarian politics, the left-liberal faction has now united against the ruling government in an attempt to destroy the party in power. This politics has resorted to polarizing statements and genocidal speeches. The DMK sponsored event regarding “Eradication of Sanatan Dharma” was a clear example of what politics for the liberal-left faction has reduced to today. Such genocidal ‘conferences’ are a clear example of what it means for a political party to support movements against the national interest of a civilized nation. On the other hand, attacking entrepreneurs and businesses, both of which are key to a growing economy, such parties exemplify what it means to be socialist in thought and action. Simultaneously, such “secular parties” then go ahead and support institutions like the Wakf Board of India, the polar opposite of a secular organization.
This same liberal-left faction has also attempted to disrupt the development of the nation and the revision of laws to rectify the national security of India. The year long Farmers protests of 2020-21 show perfectly the intellectual block that has persisted in that faction. Three laws, all aimed at improving farmer lives, all three of which are logically and economically sound, were rejected simply because they were introduced by the nationalist ruling party. Similarly, the CAA protests which happened in 2019 are again a great example of the intellectual block of the liberal-left faction. Both lead through the institutional hold that the left has in educational organizations, creating a straw-man argument to provoke communal riots. This strategy of keeping communal riots simmering, ready to erupt, is a perfect way of showing how the liberal-left faction keeps control of power and disrupts national interest policies.
Looking back, one would not assume, given that a nationalist government is in charge, that there is a concern regarding ultra-liberals in India. But the past five years in national discourse show exactly that there is a growing ultra-liberal policing left in India who is more and more interested in destroying national interest. Today such views are a concern even in Western democracies, which are highly developed; and to see such views in a developing nation is cause for great concern. Such anti-national activities are going to harm the national interest of the nation which is the Mother of Democracies, and the only way to realign the discourse is to introspect and accordingly plan corrections.
